A few months ago, Tork introduced a new variant of the Kratos R, known as 'Urban'. This variant features a reduced top speed of 70kmph, a City riding mode, and a claimed range of 100km, among other changes. It is priced at Rs 1,67,499, which is Rs 20,000 cheaper than the standard Tork Kratos R.
Tork Kratos R Price
The Tork Kratos R is currently priced at Rs 1,87,499, but is available at Rs 1,49,999 until March 31 (both prices ex-showroom Pune, including FAME 2 subsidy). The Urban variant is priced at Rs 1,67,499.
Tork Kratos R Design
The Tork Kratos sports a design that closely resembles traditional ICE motorcycles. It features an LED headlight flanked by LED DRLs, a muscular storage box in place of a fuel tank, and large tank shrouds that extend to the belly of the bike.
Features of Tork Kratos R
The Tork Kratos R is equipped with numerous features, including multiple riding modes (Eco, Sports, City, and Reverse assist), regenerative braking, USB charging, a storage box, and a digital instrument console with connectivity features. The Tork mobile app offers geo-fencing, ride telemetry, charging status, and charging station locations. The Urban trim includes City riding mode and shares features with the regular R variant such as fast charging, in-app navigation, vehicle locator, anti-theft system, OTA updates, ride analytics, track mode analytics, and guide me home lights. These features are available for free for the first 30 days; afterward, buyers must pay Rs 20,000 within six months to keep them.
Tork Kratos R Motor
The Tork Kratos uses an in-house developed Axial Flux motor that achieves a peak output of 9kW and 38Nm of torque, paired with a 4kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The bike has a claimed range of 120km and can charge up to 80 percent within an hour using a fast charger. The Urban variant offers a top speed of 70kmph and a claimed range of 100km. The bike features a split trellis frame suspended on a telescopic fork and a monoshock, with a ground clearance of 165mm and a weight of 140kg.
Tork Kratos R Rivals
The Tork Kratos R competes with the Revolt RV400, Oben Rorr, and Hop Oxo. At a similar price point, the Ather 450X is also a competitor. For those seeking a high-performance electric motorcycle, the Ultraviolette F77 is an option. Additionally, there are ICE bikes and scooters with comparable performance to the Kratos.
